Take the Ramsgate and Thanet road out of Canterbury (A28). After entering the village of Sturry, turn right at the Welsh Harp public house into Fordwich Road. After about 200 yards turn left into a road signed 'Bretts Specialised Aggregates'. Follow this road through two sets of gates and through Bretts compound. Continue past the buildings and the heaps of gravel keeping the railway line to your left, and on through the trees. WSO boat compound is 300 yards along the track.

If travelling towards Canterbury from Thanet, cross the level crossing in Sturry and turn left immediately before the Welsh Harp public house - thereafter follow the instructions above.
