WSO is about making it happen. At Westbere we don't see a disability, just a person who wants to get on the water and have some fun. OK, some people might need a little more help than others, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

 

"Play is common to all creatures. It can be seen in the young of all animals, it is part of the learning process. And the more intelligent an animal is, the longer in the life span does the urge to play and learn persist.

Humans play from the cradle to the grave, and that play represents a necessary freedom that we should all enjoy. We all have the need to have something in our lives that we can go to as a release, and when we are in the state of playing, all else fades into irrelevance. It's not really about winning or losing but more a test of individuals against themselves.

Why then should it happen that those among us who already have lost some of the most important freedoms, mobility, sight, hearing, and so on, be denied the right to play?
